The Architecture of Pure Mongolian Cashmere
“Hand-knitting preserves the natural softness and lightweight warmth of pure cashmere.”
True luxury in knitwear begins with raw material integrity. Cashmere underfleece provides exceptional natural fineness, trapping body heat while remaining remarkably lightweight and comfortable against the skin.
At Deana Harlandé, our Pure Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck is crafted from 100% pure cashmere yarn imported directly from Mongolia and hand-knitted in Nepal. The hand-knitting process ensures that yarn tension remains gentle and comfortable, preserving the natural softness and lightweight thermal regulation of the fibre.
The Resilience and Drape of Australian Merino Wool
While cashmere represents the pinnacle of soft insulation, pure Australian merino wool is celebrated for its natural structural resilience. The natural crimp in merino fibres provides elasticity, allowing knitwear to recover its shape and resist creasing throughout the day.
Our Pure Merino Wool Signature Sweater is handcrafted in Nepal using 100% natural Australian merino wool yarn with jacquard knit craftsmanship. It delivers natural breathability and comfortable body, making it an ideal companion for crisp mornings and transitional evening layering.
The Essential Care Ritual for Noble Knitwear
Preserving fine cashmere and merino wool requires mindful care rather than frequent laundering. We recommend resting knitwear between wears to allow the natural fibres to breathe and recover their natural shape.
When washing is required, hand wash in cold water using a specialist gentle wool or cashmere detergent. Gently press excess water between clean, dry towels without wringing or twisting. Always dry flat in the shade, reshaping while damp. Never hang luxury knitwear on hangers—store neatly folded with natural cedar blocks in a cool, dry place to protect against moisture and moths.
